Howard W. Hauptman, M.D.

Dr. Hauptman has been in private practice since 1987.  He attended St. George’s University School of Medicine where he earned his medical degree.  Dr. Hauptman completed his internship and residency at Greater Baltimore Medical Center followed by a Fellowship in Rheumatology, Immunology and Connective Tissue Disease at the Medical College of Virginia.  He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.  Dr. Hauptman serves as the Head of the Division of Rheumatology at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and Franklin Square Hospital Center.  He has been on the part-time faculty at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology.


Lynn M. Ludmer, M.D.

Dr. Ludmer graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1984.  She then completed her Internship and Residency at University of Maryland / Baltimore VA hospitals followed by a Fellowship in Rheumatology at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.   She remained on the teaching staff at the Hospital Center until she joined Dr. Hauptman in private practice in 1996. Dr. Ludmer is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.


Arati S. Karhadkar, M.D.

Dr. Karhadkar earned her medical degree at the University of Bombay D.Y.P. Medical College in Bombay, India in 1998.  She then completed an Internal Medicine Residency through Johns Hopkins School of Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital here in Baltimore.  Upon completion of Residency, Dr. Karhadkar accepted a Fellowship in Rheumatology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.  She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.  Dr. Karhadkar joined Rheumatology Associates in September, 2011.


Tazeen Rehman, M.D.

Dr. Rehman joined Rheumatology Associates in September 2012 after completing her Rheumatology Fellowship at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.  She completed her Internal Medicine Residency through Johns Hopkins University at Sinai Hospital here in Baltimore where she also served as a Hospitalist.  Dr. Rehman is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Rheumatology.


Patricia R. Taitt, M.D.

Dr. Taitt graduated with her medical degree in 2007 from State University of New York’s Stoney Brook School of Medicine  She then completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center.  Following Residency, Dr. Taitt completed a Rheumatology Fellowship at New York University’s Langone Medical Center.  Dr. Taitt joined Rheumatology Associates in August 2012.  She has a special interest in treating early rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and lupus nephritis, ANCA associated vasculitis and early inflammatory disease. 


Rebecca Marsden, CRNP

Ms. Marsden graduated in 1996 from Salisbury State University in Salisbury, Maryland with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  In 2004 she graduated from the Adult Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Maryland.  She joined Rheumatology Associates in 2005. She has both a personal and professional interest in Rheumatology having been treated for Psoriatic Arthritis herself. She is has completed a certification program specializing in Rheumatology through the American College of Rheumatology. She is active with the Arthritis Foundation and also lectures for the Nurse Practitioner Programs at both The University of Maryland and The Johns Hopkins University. Her interests include outdoor activities with her young son.


Pamela Lentz, CRNP

Ms. Lentz graduated from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 1984 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She worked five years at University of Maryland and for ten years at the world renowned Maryland Center for Limb Lengthening. In 2000 she graduated with her Masters degree from University of Maryland School of Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  She worked for eight years in general orthopedics and then in general internal medicine before joining Rheumatology Associates in January 2012.
